Sherlock Holmes: The Great Game
A novel by Arthur Conan Doyle
A strange clue in an empty room, a blood-soaked car, a priceless Old Master, a deranged bomber. With the clock ticking, the curtain rises on a battle of wits between Sherlock, John and the shadowy stranger who seems to know all the answers...
For Sherlock, I used the scene below from the BBC television episode 'The Great Game' as inspiration for the book over.
"What are you doing," shouts Watson. “Bored," exclaims Sherlock while shooting through the golden smiley face on the black and white wallpaper.
This moment when Sherlock is shooting through the smiley face reminds me of the crazy actions Sherlock does to stimulate his mind.
When he has no cases to solve or needs help solving one he goes to great lengths: from smoking tobacco, playing violin and taking hard drugs. This scene is a throwback to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
I used the wallpaper and the smiley face to relate to the tv show. While the silhouette and tobacco pipe is a throw back. The reason
why I change one head is to represent the shadowy stranger that seems to know all of the answers.
